Domino Park

In 1882, Domino Sugar opened its first factory bordering the East River in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The factory's opening marked a new beginning for the small Brooklyn community. In 2023, that small community had turned into a much bigger one. The original Domino Sugar factory has been repurposed as a market space, luxury apartment buildings have risen, and a park named after the factory was made. The identity I created for the park calls back to the blue-collar past of the area by using ink trap fonts and combining that with a condensed sans to speak to the new residents. I also utilized the classic yellow found on Domino Sugar packaging. The project's main goal was bridging these two worlds that once existed in Domino Park and turning them into one cohesive identity.
